Best fall travel deals for U.S. travellers, according to Expedia

As summer draws to a close and fall approaches, travelers are eager to plan their fall trips. Fall travel may not see the same demand as summer, but the financial benefits are worth it for many. Travelers looking to save can take advantage of the fact that flight prices tend to drop once the summer season ends. Fortunately, Expedia announced several destinations offering the most savings for travelers looking to get away from it all this fall.

Expedia has reviewed average prices for round-trip flights and/or accommodation rates when assembly their list of fall travel deals. The rates were compared between two different periods: between June 1^st and August 30^e2022, and between September 6^e and November 15^e2022. In doing so, they were able to find the destinations that offered the biggest savings for fall compared to summer prices.

Fall Travel Tips

There are several other things travelers can do to save more this fall, according to Expedia. If possible, travelers should plan their vacation for the week of September 26^e if they plan to stay in the United States. Average ticket prices are expected to be nearly half off summer fares for this week, making this the best time to fly out on your fall vacation.

If you plan to fly to another country, your best week to travel will be the week of October 10^e. Ticket prices will be around 20% lower than in the summer and crowds won’t be a problem. Either way, going on a Tuesday or Wednesday will offer the best rates.
