Central Pattana plc, Thailand’s leading mixed-use property developer and operator of central shopping malls, residential and office buildings and hotels nationwide, and Klook, a travel and leisure e-commerce platform leading recreation, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost inbound tourism to Thailand. This partnership builds on the strengths of Central Pattana’s premier commercial presence, which includes more than 37 shopping malls in Thailand’s most popular destinations (19 branches located in 15 provinces), both in major cities and secondary cities. And Klook’s digital reach and global user base, to position Thailand as the destination of choice for travelers from major Asian markets, including Singapore, India, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Thailand’s Leading Travel Platform and Retail Partnership
“We are thrilled to be the first travel and leisure e-commerce platform to partner with Central Pattana in an integrated marketing campaign to drive tourist arrivals and increase spending in Thailand” , said Marcus Yong, vice president of global marketing at Klook. “This partnership allows us to leverage our respective strengths and innovate on offerings that combine travel and retail to help build traveler confidence and drive recovery.”
The partnership, which will begin in October 2022, will include a variety of digital marketing initiatives and online-to-offline (O2O) campaigns to increase the visibility of Thai tourism businesses and their exposure to international markets. The two companies aim to establish a presence across the traveler’s entire purchase journey – from inspiration and discovery to booking and travel – and to position Thailand as a destination of choice for international travelers.
Klook will also collaborate with Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand’s leading hotel chain, to provide customers with specially curated offers and seamless accommodation booking experiences.
