MPT South highlights the sights of Calabarzon

MANILA, Philippines – Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corp., has partnered with the Ministry of Interior and Local Government Region IV-A to showcase tourist destinations in CALABARZON.

Through MPT South’s digital tourism page called Biyaheng South, the toll highway company has created a video exploring the two provinces of Cavite and Laguna via the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX).

Biyaheng South is a community page for food and travel enthusiasts showcasing the growing tourist destinations, attractions and enjoyable places in the CALABARZON area, connected by the CALAX, Manila-Cavite Tollway (CAVITEX) and the CAVITEX C5 link.

The page also seeks to champion responsible and sustainable tourism as part of the new normal.

“Biyaheng South supports the government in optimizing the role of technology to promote tourism in the country to boost socio-economic activities in CALABARZON,” said Arlette Capistrano, MPT South AVP for Communication and Management of stakeholders.

MPT South holds the concession for the CALAX segment of 18 kilometers, the CAVITEX segment of 14 kilometers and the CAVITEX C5 Link segment.

These are ongoing projects that will soon be interconnected and will reduce the travel time from Metro Manila to Cavite and Laguna by 45 minutes.
